Managing Principal
DMF was founded as a platform for investing principal capital. We take a meaningful position in each deal and steward our investment partner’s capital as though it were our own. Our team maintains the same unwavering committee to excellence in real estate investing that has driven our prior successes in building platform companies.
Our mandate is to protect against downside risk by investing in assets that provide a substantial margin of safety, even in the face of unexpected headwinds.

Capital Markets
James is head of Capital Formation and Investor Relations at Discover Multifamily. James has more than fifteen years of experience sourcing capital for both private and public offerings, and he has participated in a wide range of commercial real estate deals across the country.
During his career, James has worked with hundreds of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutions guiding them toward achieving their investing and philanthropic goals. James received a B.A. in music performance from Columbus State University and a Master of Music Degree from Oklahoma City University.
Property Manager – Commercial Buildings
Whitney serves as Property Manager of Commercial Buildings at Discover Multifamily. She is an Ohio native and accomplished manager who brings over 12 years of experience to our property management Team.
Whitney serves our tenants and investors with a focus on being a problem solver, an effective communicator, and an innovative leader.
Whitney is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University where she earned a bachelor’s in business administration and a Master of Arts in history. She is also a certified manager of commercial properties through Dallas BOMA.
Property Management is not all that Whitney does, she teaches as an adjunct history professor in her spare time. She enjoys spending time with her pup, Lanston, and her family, and volunteering at her church.
Principal
Brandon is a Principal and board advisor for Discover Multifamily where he sits on the investment committee. Brandon has over a decade of commercial and multifamily real estate investment experience throughout Texas. He has over 30 years of accounting and consulting experience. His consulting services have included many development and strategic projects, including joint ventures, acquisitions and sales of hospitals, foundation structures, and many other services for investor-owned facilities.
Brandon has also consulted with many healthcare-related organizations. Additionally, he is involved with various health advocacy organizations as a speaker, board member, and committee member. Brandon resides in Dallas, TX, and is a graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Accounting.
Asset Management
Mike leads asset management for Discovery Multifamily, where he is directly responsible for all operational, financial reporting, budgeting, and capital expenditures initiatives. He has over sixteen years of property management experience and has guided several of the country’s preeminent institutional ownership groups.
He has overseen capex improvements in over 15,000 units. He manages all respective business plan executions and dispositions for the assets. Mike looks to bring his experience in institutional-level property management to promote operational excellence across the DMF platform to drive growth. Mike lives in Dallas, TX, and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in marketing and real estate.
Principal
Donnie is a Principal of Discover Multifamily where he manages the firm’s operational processes and sits on the investment committee. He has acquired and successfully exited multifamily assets across Arizona, Florida, and Texas.
Donnie has over ten years of executive experience with responsibilities ranging from global management, strategic partnerships, business analytics, and long-range operational planning. Donnie lives in Dallas, TX, and is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in Accounting.
Director of Marketing
Aubrey Macklin serves as Director of Marketing for Discover Multifamily, where she is responsible for sharing Discover Multifamily’s unique advantages with future investors.
She has over 10 years of experience in communications, with 8 of those years specifically focused on the financial and investment industries.
Aubrey is passionate about connecting investors with impactful solutions that help them meet their needs and goals. Aubrey holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. She has also received multiple recognitions from the Client Experience Professional’s Association and is a certified Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA). She lives in north Texas with her husband and two dogs.
Director of Capital Markets
Chris De Celle is part of the investor relations team at Discover Multifamily where he is closely involved in all aspects of raising capital and marketing. Chris has raised millions of dollars and has invested in multiple multifamily deals as both a General and Limited partner across Texas, Georgia, and Florida. He brings a breadth of experience in construction, project management, and capital raising.
Before Discover Multifamily, he worked in the world of television and is a Multiple Emmy Award Winner as a Producer and Director. Chris has worked on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC Studios, Olympics, NFL, NBA, MLB, and the Golf Channel. He has produced for the Oscars, Emmy’s, and Golden Globes. De Celle is the founder and CEO of 3D HD Gear which has supplied professional video, audio, fiber systems, and computer networking.
He’s now focused on executing Discover Multifamily’s investor relations strategy to build relationships with both current and new equity partners.
Mr. De Celle is a proud graduate of Emerson College with a degree in Communications. Chris grew up in Saugerties, NY as the tenth of twelve children and currently resides in Los Angeles and San Diego.
Managing Principal
Nathan is the founder and Managing Principal of Discover Multifamily where he is responsible for acquisition strategy, strategic vision, and overall firm development. He has sponsored over $70MM of multifamily acquisitions since 2020. Before founding DMF, Nathan ran a long/short equity portfolio for Kershner Trading Group in New York City. While on Wall Street, he was responsible for portfolio construction and developing algorithmic trading strategies for the firm’s portfolio. While at Kershner, Nathan had the privilege of working with two of the top trading psychologists in the hedge fund industry.
Nathan is an experienced investor in both public and private markets and is now focused on executing DMF’s platform growth vision. Nathan resides in Dallas, TX, and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi holding a degree in accounting.
